We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG defines requirements for making web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments. This Site is a work in progress, and some content may not yet fully conform.
2. Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark per page and a "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images, and empty alt text for purely decorative images.
- Accessible names on icon-only controls and form fields.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on interactive elements.
- Support for the "prefers-reduced-motion" operating system setting, which suppresses non-essential animation.
- A declared page language ("lang=en") so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.
- Responsive layouts that reflow across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
3. Known limitations
Some third-party embedded content, older documents, and pre-recorded video on this Site may not yet meet our accessibility target.
